Recipes gathered by environmental club member Erin Kracht. Knowing that our products had toxic chemicals got us pretty bummed, but once we tried these easy recipes, we'll never go back. If you're switching from conventional, beware: they're not quite what you're used to! But after a few uses, you'll start to adjust. There are no toxins, and you can easily find the ingredients required with no packaging, making these options easy on the earth and your body. Whipped body butter Ingredients:

Natural Foundation Ingredients:
1. Start with a base of arrowroot powder (1 tsp. for dark skin – 1 Tbs. for light skin) 2. Slowly add in one or combination of the cocoa powder, cinnamon, or nutmeg until you reach your desired tone. 3. If you want more of a “compact” foundation, add some jojoba/olive/almond oil to the mixture and press down into a compact. (Start with 5 drops and keep adding until it reaches your desired texture). Beautiful Bronzer Ingredients:
Instructions: 1. Adjust the levels of ingredients to your shade and mix well in a small bowl, and break up any clumps until it’s smooth. Place the powder in a clean, empty compact and pack it in firmly. (Find empty compacts here.) A few tips on the color: Cinnamon provides glow. Cocoa gives depth and darkness . Nutmeg will give a sun-kissed brown. Cornstarch spreads it all out and lightens it. Essential oil keeps it together and thickens it. For blush, add some beet root powder and adjust the cocoa, nutmeg, and cinnamon as needed.
